8 Things You Need During Boat Tours in Palawan

Must must must even though it isn’t as sunny as you think since the clouds are out in the morning during on-boarding, the sun will come out. It’s better to be safe than sorry!

2. Snorkel gear

The boat guides will ask everyone in advance who needs snorkeling gear and for   March 2017 it cost 150 pesos per person. Not all snorkel goggles are meant for everyone’s face so it’s best to bring your own good pair.

3. Water shoes

Again, this will typically be needed during the spots where there are tons of sea urchins and stone fish. Cost is also 150 pesos per person.

4. Cash

Don’t miss out on not having a fresh coconut juice when the coconut man comes sailing to your boat. Oh if you are lucky, there will also be an ice cream man with the familiar ice cream truck tune that will come by to sell you Filipino branded ice creams like Magnolia or fresh fruit bars.

Not all tour boats hand out towels so it’s better to bring your own when you want to get dry in between island and beach hopping.

6. Waterproof camera

Don’t be that friend that you knew went somewhere awesome but that person only shared pictures from the mainland and not while at sea. Capture every moment!

7. Water

Yes the boat tour guides will have plenty, but that’s for when it’s lunch time and if they’ve only got enough for everyone and you find yourself parched, hopefully your seat mate will have extra for you. Bring at least a liter of water per person to last the whole day.

8. Snacks

Lunch time will be served around 11-12pm but the tour ends between 4-5pm. Make sure you bring some quick snack before dinner time in the main land.
